My name is sometimes Lauren, and sometimes Ren. I love the scent of coffee, the play of light on the earth, pretty journals, and the feel of morning. I love talking outside on velvet summer evenings and taking walks on autumn afternoons. I love the word lovely.
The written word is at the center of everything in my life; I believe the best stories are the ones that become part of your personal mythology. Photography fascinates me and music is love. I live for emotions and ideas expressed in the arts.
I believe that truth is infinitely mutable and in living life with an open heart and mind, though I admit that I don't always succeed. Hatred is only destructive. Without individuality there is nothing. I idealize people, and if I love you, I love you fiercely and deeply and more than you will probably ever know.
I have an unquenchable sense of wonder - I love to learn and stand still in awe at the beauty and complexity of the universe, but it follows that I'm disillusioned quite often. I want to pull away when the dream dies. I'm insecure, stubborn, lazy, and altogether very flawed, but sometimes I feel transcendent. If you look close enough, my eyes are hazel.
I'm learning to be human day by day, as we all are.
